Corporate Directory Clean Up
Please take a few minutes to verify that the information on your UH Corporate Directory record is accurate. The updated and validated content will help streamline the ongoing project to enhance the corporate directory. Additionally, beginning February 1, the phone information on your record will populate the phone number directory on the Cisco IP phones.
Why you should keep your UH Corporate Directory record up to date:
· Your contact information provides your UH colleagues with important information about you, including:
o Your physical work location including address, building and room number;
o Your office phone, fax number and e-mail address;
o Your pager number (if applicable); and
o Who to contact if you are unavailable (secondary contact).
· Your contact information will populate and maintain the directory on your new Cisco IP phone (where applicable).
· Your contact information is used to populate data in many applications and forms on the Corporate Intranet.
· If your record is not kept current, the incorrect data is also populating the interfaced phone directory and other intranet based applications.

UH Pediatrics Heads West
Firelands Regional Medical Center and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital are working together to bring advanced pediatric care to the Firelands Region. The health systems recently entered into a partnership agreement for Rainbow pediatric hospitalists to be available full time at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Pediatric hospitalists are pediatricians who provide the special care that children in the hospital require. The Rainbow pediatric specialists at Firelands Regional Medical Center will work directly with young patients’ main physicians to ensure coordination and continuity of care. Once a child leaves the hospital, the original physician resumes providing the care needed.
Rainbow pediatric specialists’ presence at the hospital will allow Firelands to provide 24/7 inpatient coverage for children, from newborns through age 18. It also will allow certain children with serious illnesses to remain hospitalized at Firelands instead of being transferred to UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital at University Circle.
It will also allow Firelands-area pediatricians and family physicians to provide sedation when a child needs this for diagnostic procedures, care for high-risk newborns, and advanced medical procedures. Additional Rainbow pediatric specialty care services will be added in the future. For more information about Rainbow care at Firelands, call (419) 557-7707.
