October Emphasis on Excellence

The Service Excellence committee continues its Emphasis on Excellence initiative, which features a new service topic each month to help employees live UH values daily. Throughout October, the topic will be “Self Assessment: Service Excellence Starts with me.” Click here to view a list of topics discussed over the last year along with a self-assessment so employees can grade themselves on practicing service excellence 100 percent of the time. Service excellence is an expectation of all UH employees and each person is responsible for meeting these expectations.

Volunteer Services Department Seeks Special Visitors

The Volunteer Services Department is looking for volunteers to become Special Visitors at UHCMC. Special Visitors are employees of UHCMC who volunteer to visit individual patients during their extended stay at the hospital. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age, in good physical and mental health, demonstrate a concern for pediatric and/or adult patients and commit to regularly visiting patients over an extended period of time.
