All patients who have had surgery at the Neurological Institute are cared for in the Reinberger Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSU).
With the highest level of neuro-intensive care available this innovative approach is available at only a handful of centers in the country and is one of only two such units in northeast Ohio.
Having a unit with extensive experience in the post-operative care of surgical patients increases the opportunity for a safe, smooth recovery.
Our neurointensive care specialists provide the highly skilled, minute-by-minute care of a dedicated team, along with:
- critical care nurses
- pharmacists
- respiratory therapists
- physical therapists
- nutritionists
- case managers
- social workers
- bioethicists
Critical Round-the-clock Monitoring
