Rebound Headache

Over-use of medications — exceeding labeling instructions or physician's advice — can bring about a "rebound" into another headache. Over-the-counter and prescription pain medications (analgesics) are meant to be taken as instructed. If you begin to use them more frequently or require a higher dosage to achieve the same relief you are increasing your likelihood of having a rebound headache. If you are over-using/misusing medication, seek medical attention because you may be innocently sabotaging your health and treatment.
