St. Baldrick’s Foundation & UH Rainbow Teaming up Again to Shave Heads to Raise Funds for Childhood Cancer
St. Baldrick's 2011

March 17, 2011 - The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is one of UH Rainbow’s strongest partners and supporters. Volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and family and friends give generously to support the cause - worldwide. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation uses these donations to fund more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization, with the exception of the United States Government.

Mr. Peter Richer organized and founded Cleveland’s St. Baldrick’s Day activities in 2004. Cleveland’s combined efforts have raised well over $1million since. This year’s St. Baldrick’s (Patrick’s) Day events netted over $188,000 in donations. A record 21 employees and individuals joined Team UH Rainbow and shaved their heads at various locations in northeast Ohio. Team UH Rainbow ranked #4 in Cleveland fundraising for 2010 and raised over $22,000 for St. Baldrick’s, the number is still growing.

It’s not too late to make a donation towards the Rainbow Babies Team! Donations will be accepted until June, so please consider contributing to an incredible cause, and help us reach our goal of raising $200,000 to conquer childhood cancer.
