Multidisciplinary Teams of Doctors

While our doctors are all specialists in their areas of practice, you and your child also have access to many related experts.

In each Rainbow Center of Care, various multidisciplinary teams of doctors, nurses, therapists, and Child Life specialists pool their expertise to create special programs –to help with adoption issues, to work with kids with asthma, to consult with surgeons on blood or other issues, to share knowledge and solutions for specific diseases, and so on.

Adoption Health Services

The Adoption Health Service supports families throughout the adoption process by providing pre-parenting education, pre-adoptive counseling,review of medical information, and post adoptionsupport and medical services.

Aids Services

Screening and diagnostic evaluation for suspected or documented HIV infection, together with complete counseling services, are available through the Pediatric AIDS Services of the Childrens Special Immunology Unit.

Arrhythmia Service

The Pediatric Arrhythmia Service provides 24 hour consultation as well as outpatient and inpatient care for children with problems related to abnormal heart rhythm.

Asthma Center

The Asthma Center works with the referring physician to provide optimal care to children with asthma. The Center uses a multidisciplinary approach with consultants available from Allergy, Immunology, Gastroenterology, Critical Care, and Behavioral Pediatrics.
