The Diabetes program at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital serves children and adolescents with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.
We see patients at the following outpatient clinic locations:
Clinics are staffed by our 6 Pediatric Endocrinologists and Dieticians, who work as a team to provide Diabetes care.
Children and Adolescents with a new diagnosis of Diabetes are admitted to Rainbow for an initial Diabetes education and insulin therapy to control blood sugars. Our doctors provide 24 hour service by phone for urgent questions related to Diabetes.
