Pediatric Arrhythmia Service
The Pediatric Arrhythmia Service provides 24 hour consultation as well as outpatient and inpatient care for children with problems related to abnormal heart rhythm. The service offers a full range of diagnostic services for cardiac rhythm disorders and syncope in pediatric patients, including:
- outpatient consultation
- 24 hour ambulatory monitoring
- transtelephonic incident recording
- exercise testing
- tilt table testing
- transesophageal pacing for diagnosis and for conversion of tachycardia
- cardiac catheterization
- cardiac electrophysiologic study
In addition, state-of-the-art management of cardiac arrhythmia is available, including definitive therapy by radio frequency ablation, anti-tachycardia and anti-bradycardia pacing, and antiarrhythmic drug therapy. Follow-up of patients with implanted pacemakers is also available.
