The Sports Medicine program is a two year experience which blends clinical and research time. The first year allows for one month of dedicated research, and the second year allows for two months. The remainder of the months are all clinical. Each month allows for a specific elective experience.

The typical week includes 2 dedicated Primary Care Sports Medicine clinic days, 1-2 days of elective, 1/2 day for research, and a 1/2 day for training room (high school and college). Primary Care clinic is two full days / month on average.

There are no inpatient responsibilities and there is no assigned call responsibilities. Moonlighting experiences, within the confines of duty hours, is allowed with Program Director's approval. Sports coverage is typically outside of standard clinic days. Therefore, most coverage is evenings and weekends. Travel to away games is not required, unless the fellow chooses to in their free time.
