Clinical Care

The clinical requirements of our program include night call and "on-service" time in the Division's 3 Pediatric Intensive Care Units throughout the Fellowship.

Clinical expertise is gained through direct management of a wide variety of medical and surgical pediatric patients using the most up-to-date technology available. Additional critical care experience is gained during elective time in the operating room under the supervision of the Department of Anesthesiology, in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory with the Pediatric Cardiologists, in the adult Medical or Surgical Intensive Care Unit, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or in the Burn Unit.

Any of these subspecialties may be suitably interfaced with Critical Care to provide an individualized and well-rounded training program.
