Curtis's Story

Curtis Ross, UH Case Medical Center Patient

Over the years, the Heritage Chorale has wowed audiences across Ohio as well as around the world. Curtis Ross, despite being dependent on dialysis treatments for chronic kidney disease, has been there for each and every note.

In fact, the staff at University Hospitals Transplant Institute coordinated with hospitals in Rome, Florence and Venice to provide treatment for Curtis during his 2004 concert tour. And last year, when a matching kidney was donated, it was UH Doctors who performed the transplant—something they’ve been doing successfully for nearly four decades.

Curtis has plans to sing abroad again this summer, and he’s looking forward to another Italian tour in 2009. This time, thanks to UH Doctors, he’ll skip the hospital stops.
