H1N1 Vaccine
Protect yourself and your family against the flu by getting vaccinated as the H1N1 vaccine becomes available. Just a few minutes of your time can result in a healthier winter for you – especially if you are pregnant or have a chronic medical condition that affects your lungs or immune system.
The H1N1 vaccine is manufactured at the same plants, using the same materials and same processes as the seasonal flu vaccine which has a very good track record of safety. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expects side effects of H1N1 vaccine to be rare and mild based upon current safety data. Also, the match between the H1N1 virus causing illness and the viral strain used to make vaccine is excellent, which means the vaccine will prevent H1N1 influenza.
