University Hospitals Services for Health Care Professionals

Superior health care starts with industry professionals who possess and pursue pioneering knowledge. It thrives when this knowledge is precisely communicated between practitioner and patient, and among physicians. Recognizing these critical elements, University Hospitals has developed this resource page specifically for health care professionals.

Continuing Medical Education

University Hospitals proudly serves as the primary affiliate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Through this affiliation, we support our physicians and the health care professionals who team with them, by providing resources and opportunities for lifelong education in basic and clinical science. Our Continuing Medical Education (CME) program offers a diverse menu of activities and services which span the continuum of medical specialties and sub-specialties.

The Center for Clinical Research

The Center for Clinical Research and Technology (CCRT) at University Hospitals is the administrative body with oversight for programmatic growth in the responsible conduct of research across 24 academic and clinical disciplines. As the research arm of UH, The CCRT focuses on translational studies, taking fundamental advances in biomedical exploration and applying them to health care improvements.

Clinical Trials

The CCRT offers patients direct access to a wide range of clinical trials including cancer, cardiology, mental health, pediatrics and women's health. Clinical Trials provide patients with access to new medications, devices, and/ or procedures before they are widely available or to new medications, devices, and/ or procedures that are already available, but utilized in novel ways or combinations. Each clinical trial has been approved by the UH Institutional Review Board.
