The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, offers a three year Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship training program for graduates of accredited pediatric residency programs.
Our goal is to prepare our fellowship graduates for rewarding careers in PEM.
We partner with individuals who enter our program to advance their education in the clinical care of children in the Pediatric Emergency Department (PED), in clinical investigation to expand knowledge in the field, and in advocating for the special needs of acutely ill and injured children at every level of the pediatric emergency continuum from prevention and prehospital care to the emergency department and beyond.
Our fellowship program curriculum is designed to provide our graduates with exceptional clinical skills, administrative expertise in the management of a Pediatric Emergency Department, experience in the education of health care providers at all levels and research experience that promotes future involvement and success in clinical research. Educational opportunities include access to the Mt. Sinai simulation Center.
This program is fully ACGME-accredited and accepts two fellows per year.
