The Neurological Institute’s Translational Neurosciences Center is a comprehensive link between physicians in the Neurological Institute and research scientists at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine.

Research enables us to help find and develop new and improved drugs, devices and treatments. In conventional research institutions, it often takes many years before research findings are translated to the care of patients. Our goal is to promote new treatments to patients who need them as rapidly as possible.

The basic neuroscience community is currently ranked in the top 15% in the country for NIH funding. Many of the investigators in the Translational Neurosciences Center have research budgets in excess of $500,000/year.
