The division of Pediatric Urology provides 24-hour coverage for emergency and elective urological problems.

The Division of Pediatric Urology provides management, including diagnostic evaluation and both medical and surgical treatment of all congenital and acquired anomalies of the kidneys, bladder, and genitalia in children, including:

  • undescended testicles, hydroceles, scrotal masses, and acute scrotal conditions
  • intersex and select gynecologic disorders, including hydrocolpos, interlabial masses, with genital reconstruction if necessary
  • hypospadias, epispadias, bladder exstrophy
  • genitourinary tumors, including Wilms' tumor, rhabdomyosarcoma and testis tumors
  • prenatally diagnosed abnormalities of the kidneys and bladder, including hydronephrosis and multicystic kidney
  • disorders of urinary control
  • continent urinary reconstruction in patients with a urinary stoma

 

• Laparascopic and minimally invasive urologic surgery

• Inguinal/scrotal disorders, including undescended testicle, hernia, hydrocele, scrotal masses and acute scrotal conditions

• Congenital abnormalities of the urinary tract

• Intersex and pediatric/adolescent gynecological disorders

• Bloodless renal surgery
