The Hanna House Inpatient Rehabilitation Center is designed to serve individuals who have been discharged from the acute hospital setting, but who still require aggressive rehabilitation such as physical, occupational and speech therapies, and psychological services. Rehabilitation patients must be motivated, medically stable and able to participate in a treatment plan that includes a minimum of two to three (2 to 3) hours of daily rehabilitation therapies. The 10-bed center is located in Hanna House on the campus of University Hospitals of Cleveland, providing easy access to University Hospitals’ programs, services and advanced technologies.
The Center’s individualized programs are designed to improve a patient’s functional abilities such as bowel and bladder control, mobility and communications skills. Patients, their family members and the rehabilitation team work together on short- and long-term goals in keeping with the patients’ discharge plans.
