Sub-specialists
in oncology surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic imaging, nursing, social work, behavioral medicine and genetic counseling are an important part of the multidisciplinary teams.
Team members also participate in advanced programs to teach and train young scientists so that the discovery of new cancer treatments can continue.
Ireland coordinates clinical care at its six community-based centers in Cleveland suburbs and neighboring counties, which provide a variety of outpatient services.
Ireland offers patients extremely precise radiation treatment through TomoTherapy, a state-of-the-art system that targets cancerous tumors while avoiding healthy tissue.
