2008 Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure®
Locally presented by University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center

15th Annual Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure®
Saturday, September 13, 2008
Malls B and C in downtown Cleveland

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

This year more than 200,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die from the disease.

Join us on Saturday, September 13, 2008 when more than 20,000 determined Ohioans set out to make a difference in that statistic by participating in the 2008 Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure®, locally presented by University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center and Giant Eagle, in downtown Cleveland.

The Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure® has an event for all ages and skill levels.
  • For those who like to run, a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) Race will be held for men and women.
  • For walkers, the Race offers a non-competitive, untimed 1-Mile Walk.
  • Those who want to walk a longer distance may join the runners in the 5 kilometer Race.
