In response to the increase in cases of antibiotic-resistant pathogen infections at medical facilities across America, University Hospitals’ Infectious Diseases Division has established preeminent programs in research, clinical practice, education and training. These programs extend to the Infectious Disease Services at UH Richmond Medical Center.

We conduct regular bacteria surveillance studies with other area hospitals and long-term care facilities. Most importantly, our employees are trained to work in a culture of safety, and we consider every patient and visitor a vital part of this culture as well.
