Sustainable health care practices are constantly evolving. University Hospitals actively engages with expert organizations to continuously improve our knowledge of sustainable business practices.
We seek to inform and engage our employees in our sustainability efforts through training and education programs, and extend our environmental commitment beyond the walls of UH to support the sustainable development of the neighborhoods we serve.

Green Teams
Site specific, department-level green teams are being established throughout the system. These teams are made up of employees who have an interest in improving the environmental performance of their respective floor or division, and they regularly report to their facility’s Sustainability Task Force.
