University Hospitals Envisions the Future
University Hospitals, serving patients for over 140 years, has outlined a vision for the future of health care in its strategic plan known as Vision 2010. Vision 2010 represents a milestone for UH as it calls for investments of more than $1 billion over five years. The plan reaffirms a strong commitment to the UH Case Medical Center (UHCMC) campus with new facilities and the expansion of services, along with new construction and enhancements to our suburban ambulatory centers.
We are proud to be the leaders who are progressively addressing the changing health care circumstances for the future. The region has benefited from our long history of bold plans and day-to-day vigilance, resulting in an exceptional level of care that will continue to advance with Vision 2010. Our strategic plan will better position us to provide the finest health care and influence the future of academic medicine.
Major UHCMC facilities projects include:
- A New Cancer Hospital
- A New Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital
- A New Center for Emergency for Medicine
- Ahuja Medical Center
In addition, plans call for the construction of Ambulatory Medical Centers in Twinsburg and Aurora and expansion of cardiovascular facilities at UH Geauga Medical Center, UH Richmond Medical Center and UH Bedford Medical Center and orthopaedic facilities and services at UH Geauga Medical Center.
