Hospitals Here Rank High on U.S. News & World Report List
CLEVELAND -- Northern Ohioans
are among the nation's most fortunate health care consumers, having
access to some of the best medicine provided anywhere, according to
U.S.News & World Report's latest hospital rankings. The
magazine's rankings of America's Best Hospitals clinical programs were
released today, and included:
- University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital
is once again this year ranked number one in the Midwest and the
Region, ranking #6 among all pediatric programs in America.
- University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center is once again this year the number one cancer program in Ohio, ranking #17 among all cancer programs in America.
- University Hospitals of Cleveland is among the top hospitals in America in the following 13 categories, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report:
- Cancer
- Digestive
- Ear, Nose & Throat
- Geriatrics
- Gynecology (especially fertility issues and female cancers)
- Heart & Heart Surgery
- Hormonal disorders (including diabetes)
- Neurology and Neurosurgery (including stroke and seizure disorders)
- Orthopedics
- Pediatrics
- Psychiatry
- Respiratory disorders
- Urology
Also included on the list of top hospitals is a University Hospitals
Health System partner: Southwest General Health Center in
Middleburg Heights is ranked among the top hospitals in Respiratory
Disorders.
