Hospitals Here Rank High on U.S. News & World Report List

CLEVELAND -- Northern Ohioans are among the nation's most fortunate health care consumers, having access to some of the best medicine provided anywhere, according to U.S.News & World Report's latest hospital rankings.  The magazine's rankings of America's Best Hospitals clinical programs were released today, and included:
  • University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital is once again this year ranked number one in the Midwest and the Region, ranking #6 among all pediatric programs in America. 
  • University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center is once again this year the number one cancer program in Ohio, ranking #17 among all cancer programs in America.
  • University Hospitals of Cleveland is among the top hospitals in America in the following 13 categories, as ranked by U.S. News & World Report:

 
  • Cancer
  • Digestive
  • Ear, Nose & Throat
  • Geriatrics
  • Gynecology (especially fertility issues and female cancers)
  • Heart & Heart Surgery
  • Hormonal disorders (including diabetes)
  • Neurology and Neurosurgery (including stroke and seizure disorders)
  • Orthopedics
  • Pediatrics
  • Psychiatry
  • Respiratory disorders
  • Urology



Also included on the list of top hospitals is a University Hospitals Health System partner:  Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights is ranked among the top hospitals in Respiratory Disorders.
